When those leaves begin to fall, remember that Pere Marquette Charter Township offers you at-home leaf  pick-up services. This service is designed for homeowners’ yard maintenance, not for major projects or commercial properties.  Here’s how it works:

For a small annual fee, we will collect your leaves with our leaf-vacuum truck. Sounds easy? It is! But we need your help to make collection efficient for the Township employees, too.

LEAVES: We normally collect leaves in the fall with a leaf-vacuum truck. You’ll need to pile the leaves as near to the roadway as you can, because the vacuum hose isn’t very long (just like your household vacuum never quite reaches where you need it!). This is done weekly from the time the leaves start falling until the first snowfall.

The Leaf Pick-up Fee for the season is $40.00.  Less than you'd pay a couple of teenagers for an afternoon!  Residents may also sign up for Brush Removal (also $40. per season).  Both services for $80.  Check our Brush Removal page for details on that service.

Mail your payment to the Township offices, or stop in to sign up.  When mailing, please indicate "Leaves" on the envelope, as this helps us when we sort the mail.  When paying at the Townhall, please bring in a check or exact change, as we do not keep large amounts of cash on hand to make change.  Thank you!
